The Radisson Blu, Glasgow has 250 spacious rooms; Modern, City Club, or Gallery style. Decorated in soft colours, each room features a TV, free WiFi and a minibar. In each bathroom you’ll find heated floors and mirrors, and your complimentary bathrobes and slippers will be ready and waiting for you.

After initially experiencing a minor mishap with our room key not working correctly (Which I must say, was resolved very swiftly by a highly professional and friendly member of staff), we ventured into our Superior Hotel room.

Our expertly designed room featured lovely warm and comforting colour undertones matched with popping red furniture. The room was spacious and modern, filled with vibrant wall art and neutral light oak furniture. I have to say, we were extremely impressed so far with the hotels lavish appearance. Making our selves at home, we casually unpacked our belongings, checked out all of the free channels on our TV, then curiously headed for the bathroom.

The bathroom looked fit for a movie star. when it came down to the polished design and atmospheric lighting, we knew we were somewhere special. The room benefitted from an oval shaped sink fitting encased in black marble, which neatly sat underneath a large glitzy wall mirror.

When it came to the room’s amenities, we were lavished with luxurious shower gels, posh soaps, fresh towels and the added bonus of bathroom phone – I didn’t even know they existed anymore!

The whole time we were at the Radisson Blu, we never felt ignored. From our welcoming response at Reception, through to our hands-on restaurant experience, the friendly staff at the Hotel always made every effort to check we were comfortable and happy. We reserved dinner at the in-house Grahamston Kitchen & Bar restaurant a week in advance, as you can never guarantee a table nowadays. I must admit, we had a sneaky peek at the online menu a few days prior to our visit, and it was looking truly sumptuous.

Tasty sirloin with chunky chips
Savouring the creamy pumpkin tortellini
Ham hock terrine with plum and apple chutney anyone?

Grahamston Kitchen & bar is open 5:30 am – 9:30 pm daily. We wanted to enjoy viewing the sights of Glasgow that evening, so we made sure we ate early. And boy, did we start the evening well. As soon as we arrived, we were mesmerised by the radiant setting surrounding us. The lighting was dim, with a subtle purple elements – fantastic! I thought I would venture outside of my comfort zone with a surprisingly delicious pumpkin pasta dish, and Mike opted for a big juicy sirloin steak. Our dishes definitely defied the ordinary, showcasing unsual and flavoursome touches. Having received a high-end service all round, we were ready to hit the town!

Having stayed at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow for only a night, we walked away feeling entirely content and fulfilled. We can’t praise the hotel enough, given the efficient service we received, the fantastic level of customer service all round and the exceptional cuisine. Our quiet, comfortable and sophisticated room allowed us to have a wonderful nights sleep, result! Although the time did pass relatively quickly, next time we will stay a little longer, to make the most of this superb hotel. Oh, and we’ll be sure to stop by the hotel pool on our next visit.
